Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening is a very popular treatment helping patients to feel more confident with their smile.

Professional teeth whitening is a safe, effective method of improving the appearance of your teeth. It uses safe concentrations of hydrogen/carbamide peroxide to remove the stain pigment from the tooth.

At Shore Dental we offer both in-surgery teeth whitening (BlancOne) and home whitening. In-surgery whitening is completed immediately after a hygienist clean and airflow appointment. For best, long-lasting results, in-surgery whitening is recommended to be used alongside home whitening.

Before whitening, you must have a check-up with one of our dentists to ensure that you are a suitable candidate for whitening.

Teeth Whitening FAQs

What is included with home whitening treatment?

Following a dental check-up, a mould of your teeth will be taken and send away to the laboratory. Custom whitening trays are made. This usually takes 1-2 weeks. You will have a second appointment to ensure that the trays fit and show you how to use the gel. You will receive 4 tubes of whitening gel to take home. Depending on the dentist recommendation and your lifestyle determines if you use the day whitening gel or the nighttime whitening gel.

What’s the difference between In-surgery BlancOne CLICK and BlancOne TOUCH whitening?

BlancOne CLICK takes only 10 minutes and is added on to the end of a hygiene appointment. It whitens the teeth by 2-4 shades.
